Stark County Treasures
Stark County may be close to home but it offers many attractions for winter days. Your journey begins with a visit to the McKinley Library and Museum where you will enjoy this history and science museum. The museum includes the McKinley Gallery, the Street of Shops, the Keller Gallery, Discovery World, the Hoover Price Planetarium, and the new permanent exhibit, The Stark County Story. Harry London and Fanny May Confections store and factory tour, the largest in the mid-west, will satisfy even the most discriminating sweet tooth. Lunch will then be served at the McKinley Grand Hotel. Another attraction not to be missed is a visit to the National First Ladies' Library. It is the only one of its kind educating the public of the contributions made by our First Ladies as well as other notable women in American history. Tour the 1895 renovated bank building and the 1840s Victorian home. Last but not least is the Canton Classic Car Museum. Thousands of pieces of nostalgia, antiques, period fashions and of course cars are on display. Forty five collectible and antique automobiles will take you back to a simpler time. See the past come to life!!!
