A stop at Fenton Glass outlet for a little shopping begins our day of relaxation. Enjoy a Savory lunch and tour at the Historic Blennerhassett Hotel before boarding the sternwheeler for a ride down the Ohio River to Blennerhassett Island. You will enjoy the natural beauty and historic sites on the Island. See where Aaron Burr and Herman Blennerhassett plotted to establish a southwest empire. The mansion was considered to be one of the most beautiful private homes in early America. Enjoy a tour of the island on a horse-drawn wagon ride. Don't miss the Putnam-Houser House, Maple Shade, and original 118th century house that have the unusual distinction of never having been modernized. The island offers so much to do and see that you will want to return.
